A Barn Conversion: View 2

Our Client's Brief......
This converted farm building was a cattle byre (or cow shed) in a former life, but rather than choose the more obvious cottage style our clients wanted a more contemporary feel to their garden with clean lines, avoiding fussy detail.
The garden also needed to sit comfortably within its agricultural surroundings.
A large paved area close to the house but ‘connected’ with the garden was wanted for outdoor living and entertaining.
Water was desirable but not the maintenance work that would go with a conventional pond.
Privacy was important whilst maintaining ‘the view’ so planting needed to be generous and thoughtfully laid out.
